To celebrate the FCCI’s 40th anniversary, this year’s Ball was a step towards investing in the future of the community through its youth. With the continued support our Governors and Friends, we welcomed over 500 people and enjoyed another lovely evening which raised $250,000!

Evening highlights included lively hosting by emcees Freeway Frank & Natasha Gargiulo, surprise visit by comedian Joe Cacchione and energizing entertainment by The Showmen. Dynamic speeches by FCCI President, Joey Saputo, Tony Loffreda, President of the Ball for the 6th year in a row, and Lino A. Saputo, Jr., Honorary President, punctuated the evening.

1st Annual Unitas Golf Tournament

September 29, 2015

The 1st edition of the Unitas Golf Tournament which took place on September 29, 2015, at Golf St-Raphaël, was a great success. This event was collectively organised by: Canadian-Italian Business and Professional Association (CIBPA), Centre Leonardo Da Vinci (CLDV), Centre culturel de la Petite Italie‑Casa d'Italia (CCPI-Casa d’Italia), Fondation Communautaire Canadienne-Italienne (FCCI), and Congrès national des Italo-canadiens (CNIC), Quebec chapter.

Having taken on both courses of the impressive St-Raphaël Golf Course, our sold out tournament attracted more than 300 golfers who played for a great cause and raised over $70,000. This is the first collaborative initiative since the creation of Unitas and brought all organizations towards a common goal; fundraising together, consolidating funds and sharing resources in order to best benefit the community. Complete with brunch, lunch on the course, a cocktail and an elegant dinner, this tournament turned out to be a successful day of sport, camaraderie, and a celebration of a united community.
